Welcome to ABCD School of Bollywood Dance Annual Recital

Our Annual Dance Recital is not just a bunch of dances strung together - it is a show! Get ready for a great weekend of rehearsals, pictures, dancing, and fun! If you and your children have ever dreaded Recital events, something just isn't right. Dress rehearsals need not creep into the wee hours of the morning. Young dance students should not be expected to perform like professionals. After all, this is a learning experience for them. Their onstage experience should be rewarding and exciting!
A formal theater, backdrop, lighting, and costumes help to showcase the students' hard work throughout the year. They will create memories that last a lifetime. Parents and students can expect outstanding choreography and an entertaining show featuring all of the dance styles offered at All That! Most importantly, the recital is an opportunity for students to gain valuable performance experience. This is why we work so hard all year long!
We look forward to seeing our dancers on stage!

For the safety and organization of all dancers, parents are not allowed backstage during the show. However, parents can drop off and pick up their child at the designated backstage entrance.

Is there a reception after the recital?

We do not have a reception after the recital. However, we encourage families to take photos and celebrate together after the show. Please note that dancers must remain backstage for the duration of the show.

I want to help! How can I get involved with the recital?

We always welcome parent volunteers to help backstage during the show. If you are interested in volunteering, please contact the school director or your child’s choreographer for more information.

Can I videotape the performance?

This is an important memory, one you will always cherish. For that reason, we hire a professional videographer to film all shows. Phone and flash photography can be a distraction to our dancers. We ask all audience members to refrain from taking pictures or filming for the safety of our dancers and the enjoyment of the other members of the audience.

Do we have to wear make-up?

We believe that parents should be able to decide what is appropriate for their dancer based on their parenting style. That said please be warned that dancers without any makeup on will appear washed out under stage lighting. Footlights and spotlights are bright and the best way to look natural under them is to rely on a little makeup. We recommend at least a warm blush and red lipstick. If your dancer is very young, keep in mind the Recital is a once a year event, and feels a lot to your dancer like playing dress up

What type of hairstyle do we do?

Choreogrpahers will provide more details on Hairstyle. We do not require any specific hairstyle if not specifically mentioned, however please wear any hairpiece or accessory that is included with your costume. Many dancers will curl their hair, do an up-do or wear it half-up.

Do we have seating arrangements?

Seating is numbered and you can pick the seating choice while buying tickets online.
